Your Tuesday PM Forecast For Long Beach

4/12/2016

By Scott Martin.

With a ridge of high pressure developing over the west coast, expect skies to be clear and chance of rain to be zero throughout the whole weekend.
The forecast at Long Beach for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Verizon Indycar Series, and the Pirelli World Challenge looks great, but may be windy at times.

THURSDAY:
Skies should start off mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 50s for the morning. Skies will clear throughout the day and should be sunny by late afternoon (or quicker). Daytime highs should top out in the lower 70s. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 5-10 MPH. No rain expected.

FRIDAY:
Skies should be clear throughout the day, so remember to sunscreen up if you are attending or participating in the events. The morning will start off cool in the lower 50s, but temperatures will rise into the middle 70s for the afternoon high. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-15 MPH, with gusts during the afternoon up to 25 MPH. No rain expected.

SATURDAY:
Repeat of Friday. Sunny skies, with morning temperatures in the middle 50s. Daytime highs will reach the middle 70s. Hold on to your hats. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-20 MPH, with gusts during the afternoon up to 30 MPH. No rain expected.

SUNDAY:
Another repeat. Sunny skies, with morning temperatures in the middle 50s. Daytime highs will reach the middle 70s. Winds will be out of the northwest at 5-10 MPH, with gusts during the afternoon up to 20 MPH. No rain expected.

Radar will be up and running for the events on the streets of Long Beach. You can find the RADAR link at the top of our page. I'll have updates on here, and on our Facebook page, Twitter feeds, and on our Instagram feed. Links to those are on the right on this page.
