Race Track Support
At an outdoor event, being prepared in advance for weather hazards is critical to the safety of everyone present, from lightning to high winds to extreme heat. In the days leading up to the event, we can provide site-specific forecasts that are tailored to the needs of the track, and aid in advance preparations. We can create unique, site-specific forecast graphics that can be used to promote the event through social media. When thunderstorms approach, we can give advance notice to ensure that fans and track workers are kept safe from the dangers of lightning. We have been providing on-site weather support for the IMSA event at VIR since 2016. We work closely with the track Safety Director to assist in his decision-making. We have also been a resource to IMSA officials and race control, providing detailed information about the timing of arrival and departure of rain and lightning that impacts the on-track activities.

We have been providing site-specific forecast graphics for Road America since 2016. The graphics are tailored for each event, including event sponsors. The Road America social media team uses these graphics to help promote their event and help their fans prepare for the weeekend weather.
