For now, fog does not look to be an issue on Sunday morning, and temperatures will be slightly cooler, with the afternoon high slipping back into the mid 70s. Great news for the fans as those coming from outside Florida will get a chance to thaw out for a few days. Good news on the drivers as well as cockpit temperatures will not be as hot as what we will see just in a few of months like in Nashville.
By Scott Martin So, no real big change to the forecast for the weekend in sunny Florida. We'll start off Friday and Saturday with a little patchy dense fog through 8 am on both mornings, with temperatures starting off in the upper 60s at that time. Friday will warm up into the upper 70s, while Saturday will climb up into the lower 80s.

This is the perfect way to start a race season with new drivers in the fray, along with veteran drivers with new teams... by having nearly perfect weather to test those new pairings for the 2022 season.
The forecast will be nearly steady-state throughout the event weekend at St. Petersburg, as morning temperatures on each day will start off in the mid-60s around 8 am and climbing into the 70s for daytime highs. The only requirements that I would have for you is to be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, along with your hats and sunglasses. You will definitely need all of those with plenty of sunshine forecast on each day. Rain chances sit at 0% throughout the weekend. By: Stephen McCoy Not much change in the forecast since the initial post for the Kyalami 9 Hour. A cold front is still expected to move through the region on Friday, bringing a likely chance for showers and/or thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening. In addition, winds will increase on Friday with some gusty conditions present as well, though stronger winds will move in behind the front on Saturday. Saturday will also see a drop in temperatures, with highs only in the low 70's F (low 20's C). Scattered showers may be present in the area on Saturday, though precipitation totals will be much less than from Friday.
