Conditions have remained mostly the same since the initial forecast for the GMR Grand Prix. We'll see an area of high pressure pass to the north of the region, with winds initially from the north/northeast on Thursday, shifting to the south/southeast by Saturday as the high moves towards the Atlantic. Expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies during Thursday and Friday mornings, with mid-to-upper level moisture moving in for the afternoons and continuing into most of Saturday. A surface low pressure system will develop over the Plains Friday into Saturday, with a warm/stationary front extending to the east from the center. The front may cause some scattered showers over Iowa/western Illinois during the day on Saturday, and may reach central Indiana by Saturday evening. However, there isn't currently a threat for precipitation during the Grand Prix Saturday afternoon.
