I made a few small changes to the forecast this morning. The entire weekend looks mostly cloudy, so anyone hoping for plentiful Florida sunshine will be disappointed. I'm becoming more confident that it will not rain on Saturday, so I removed the mention of a slight chance of showers that day. I am becoming more confident that there will be rain showers around the Daytona Beach area on Sunday. However, I expect that the coverage of showers will be scattered, so I kept the rain chance at 30% because even if there are showers around, they may be too few and far between to affect the speedway. For a better understanding of what a chance of rain actually means, see this post. If there are showers at the speedway, I still expect them to be relatively light and short-lived. At this time, it's too soon to give a better estimate of timing of showers or rainfall amounts. Hopefully, that should come into better focus tomorrow.
