A surface low will move across the western Great Lakes and into eastern Canada, and a trailing cold front will move across the area on Friday. Rain chances will start to increase late on Thursday evening as the cold front approaches, with the best chance for rain during the morning through the early afternoon hours on Friday. There is a very small chance for a few claps of thunder, but instability values will remain low for the area.
As the cold front moves away on Friday evening, another short wave will be making its way down a trough that will be located over lower Ontario and the northeastern US, bringing with it another cold front across the area on Saturday, and with that more showers. Shower activity will diminish as a cool cyclonic flow sets up over the area for Sunday.
