By Doug Schneider Nice weather will greet the Trans Am teams as they arrive at Homestead-Miami Speedway and begin practice sessions on Thursday. High pressure centered off the east coast of Florida will remain in control of the weather through Friday, producing breezy conditions, with an east wind around 15 mph each day. The high will give way a little over the weekend, and moisture and instability is expected to increase just enough to provide a slight chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. The chance of seeing a shower or thunderstorm rises a little bit for Sunday afternoon as moisture continues to increase across south Florida.
