Here is the updated forecast for the Indycar series at Texas Motor Speedway for the Firestone 600. Pretty much no change from the first forecast yesterday. With a strengthening ridge over the area this weekend, expect dry conditions and hot temperatures.
On Friday for practice and qualifying, skies will be generally clear and temperature will be warm. Expected high will be in the lower 90s. Heat indices will reach the 90-95º range, so please stay hydrated and in the shade if you can find some. Temperatures will gradually fall to the middle 80s by 8:30PM. Chance of rain is 0%.
Saturday will feature mostly clear skies and highs reaching the lower 90s. Heat indices will reach the 95-100º range, so once again stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool. For the race at 7:45PM, temperatures should fall to the upper 80s, and into the upper 70s by the checkered flag. Chance of rain is 0%.
