It's going to be a hot weekend at Road America for all of the IMSA action taking place for the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase, but we may be close to getting some rain before this afternoon's on-track activities are finished or even into the Dinner With Racers Podcast later this evening.
We'll have increasing clouds throughout the remainder of the day at the track, with showers and thunderstorms approaching as early as 7:00 PM. Since the forecast has changed a few times over the past couple of days, my confidence level is medium at this point. The high will get up to around 90 degrees with winds out of the south at 10-15 MPH.
Sunday looks to be dry and hot at this point during on-track activity, but storms will be approaching the track by the early evening hours, so tear down at the end of the day might be a little storms. Highs will back up in the 90s and winds will be quite breezy at 10-15 MPH out of the southwest with gusts at times up to 25 MPH.
