By Doug Schneider The rain managed to hold off for an exciting Trans Am qualifying session yesterday. When the rain came around 6 pm, it really came down hard, with about 2 inches of rain recorded through the evening, with 1 inch of that rain coming in just one hour. Fortunately, the best rain chances at Sebring are gone. Here's what you can expect from the weather through the day at Sebring for the Foametix Trans Am 100: Satellite imagery shows that the day will start off mostly sunny, then some cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon. Most of the shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to stay north and west of the track, near a lingering front and near the sea breeze boundary along the west coast of Florida. I can't entirely rule out an afternoon shower, so I'm keeping a 20% chance of rain in the forecast as the afternoon heating might help spark a few isolated showers. It is likely that the race this afternoon will be dry. I'll be keeping an eye on the radar and posting updates as needed on Twitter - @Race4caster.
