The timing of the cold front that will be approaching Road Atlanta looks earlier than previously forecast, with the greatest chances of rain coming Friday. Rain showers are expected to begin late Thursday night, and periods of showers and thunderstorms can be expected through the day Friday. The CTSC race and the TUSC qualifying sessions will likely be wet. Some of the stronger storms could produce gusty winds Friday evening. Most of the rain is expected to end around midnight Friday night when the cold front moves through. Total rainfall amounts are expected to be between 0.25 and 0.75 inches around the Atlanta area. Behind the front, cooler and drier air will build in on Saturday, providing sunny skies for Petit Le Mans. It will be breezy with northwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph at times through the race.
