The models are showing a weak tropical low pressure system in the vicinity of Florida on Saturday night, but they differ greatly on its track and how far north its moisture spreads. The worst-case scenario the models are showing right now is some light rain moving in after midnight Saturday night. So even if that happens, the race isn’t like to be impacted, although those camping out may get wet (but not drenched like 2015). Hopefully the slower timing will hold up. I’ll be keeping an eye on this system over the next few days, and update the forecast if the timing of rain comes earlier. Stay tuned for updates.
By Doug Schneider - @Race4caster I've made just a few small adjustments to the forecast today, mainly to raise temperatures slightly. There is still some potential for rain on Sunday, and possibly as early as late Saturday night.
