Maybe Not So Bad For Sunday At Pocono

Looking at the latest model runs as of 10:30 PM CDT on Saturday night, there will be a few showers and storms around the area throughout the day on Sunday at Pocono Raceway, but the real question is that "Will any move over the track during the race?"

The GFS, NAM 3K, and the European model all keep much of the rainfall over into New Jersey throughout the day, with only a few scattered showers/storms creeping into the northeastern corner of Pennsylvania during the afternoon hours. Models do show that rain doesn't actually move over Pocono, but it is so close that I'll have to throw a small risk in, say around 30%. Skies will stay cloudy, but there may be a few breaks to let the sun shine through. There will not be that much change in the temperature throughout the day as well, with morning lows starting out in the lower 60s (around 63 degrees) and topping out in the upper 60s (around 68 degrees). Winds will be out of the northeast and east-northeast at 5-10 MPH.

As far as the comment on the site from earlier that is not appearing... I will have to apologize for not having more updates throughout the week. I have a very busy schedule that goes through the end of the month, and finding time to spend with my family and getting my forecasts up for Racecast Weather being very little. So I am sorry for that. I do thank you for trusting us with our forecasts that you stepped up and said something about the forecast. At least that makes us know that people read and care about our work on the site.

Hope you all have a great Saturday evening and Sunday.
