A cold front will be passing through Ohio during the day on Friday bringing with it showers and thunderstorms. If at the track, you will need to stay weather aware as the Storm Prediction Center has placed nearly the whole state of Ohio in a Marginal Risk of severe storms (level 1 of 5). The main threat will be from strong thunderstorm wind gusts, with a low-end threat of a brief, isolated, spin-up tornado or two. Winds will be quite breezy as well, averaging 15-25 MPH out of the southwest. The highest possibility of rainfall and stronger storms will happen mainly before 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with rain chances diminishing somewhat after that. The afternoon high should top out in the lower 70s, with rain chances at 70%. Please pay attention to the weather conditions and have a place of safety planned out just in case thunderstorms impact the area.
Once that cold front passes, the remainder of the weekend looks fantastic. Saturday will feature more sun than clouds with the high reaching the upper 60s to just at 70 degrees again. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 2-7 MPH.
There will be another cold front that will move through the state during the day on Sunday that will bring even more dry air but temperatures will stay around the same. May need a jacket to start the day as temperatures are expected to be in the lower 50s, and the afternoon high will only reach the upper 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will be out of the west to northwest at 2-10 MPH.
