It is a cool and breezy day to start off with out at Barber Motorsports Park with temperatures currently at 53 degrees and a breeze at 13 MPH as of 11:20 AM. Skies are completely clear and you could not ask for a better day weather-wise. Afternoon highs are still expected to top out in the upper 60s to close to 70 degrees. Winds will continue to be breezy throughout the day at 5-15 MPH out of the east-northeast.
Saturday’s Weather
It will be a fantastic day out at the track for qualifying and races as we’ll have comfortable temperatures with mainly sunny skies. Clouds will start to move in during the late afternoon into the early evening hours, but we’ll stay dry during the on-track times. Morning lows will start off in the mid-40s and will warm into the lower 70s for the daytime high. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at 4-12 MPH. No rain is expected throughout the entire day as the system will hold off until around midnight before rain chances start to increase.
Sunday’s Weather
At this point, it looks like Sunday will be pretty wet at times with showers and a few thunderstorms possible at any time throughout the day. The good news is that severe weather is not likely, but rainfall amounts could get up as high as 1/2 inch during the daylight hours. Rain tires will definitely be needed a few times throughout the day, but there will be breaks in the rain and we could have some periods where the track dries out some… especially during the late morning hours. Temperatures start off in the mid-50s, and the afternoon high will be in the mid-60s. Winds will be quite breezy averaging 10-15 MPH out of the southeast.
