A storm system pulling out of the Great Lakes will push two fronts across the region this weekend, leading to showery conditions and temperatures much below normal by Sunday.
With the first frontal system pushing through, Friday will feature rain and thunder throughout the daytime hours, with drying conditions and clearing skies for a little while Friday night. The second front makes it’s approach to the area on Saturday, bringing showers back into the forecast throughout the day.
Sunday looks to be a little unsettled as an upper level trough axis shifts into the central part of New York. This will keep a slight chance of rain in the forecast throughout the day, with temperatures being much cooler. Winds will be another story, as gusts could reach 30 MPH at times.
