A hot day out there in New Jersey today for the Trans Am series. Mostly sunny skies will prevail today, but the main story will be the heat. Highs should reach the lower 90s, but the heat index will be in the 95º-98º range today. Please drink plenty of fluids today and find some shade. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 MPH, but that won't be much help keeping you cool today.
Saturday will be partly cloudy, but there is a chance of thunderstorms in the forecast. I believe the higher chances will be after 11AM through the rest of the daylight hours. I do not believe it will be an all-day washout, with projected rainfall amounts only being one-tenth of an inch or less. Just remember "if thunder roars, go indoors." Highs should reach the lower 90s, with a northwest wind at 5-10 MPH. Chance of rain is 50%.
Sunday, by far, is the best day of the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny, but temperature will be cooler. Highs will reach the lower to middle 80s, with winds out of the northeast to east at 5-10 MPH. Chance of rain is 0%.
