A strong cold front will push south across the southeast U.S. in the middle part of the week, which will bring abnormally cold temperatures to northern Florida for Thursday and Friday. The Roar will open with relatively cool high temperatures around 60. Through the weekend, winds shift to a more east and southeast direction. This will bring warmer temperatures for Saturday and Sunday, but it will also bring more moisture into Daytona. As a result, there is a slight chance of rain showers Saturday (20%), and a small chance of showers on Sunday (30%). At this time, it looks like any rain that occurs is likely to be light, so I don't think there is much chance of rain causing a significant interruption to testing.
I'll review my forecast each day from now until Friday, and issue any updates as needed on this blog, on our Facebook page, and on Twitter. If there is rain at the track, remember that you can check the radar at any time by clicking on the "Live Radar" tab at the top of this blog.
