The weather looks like it will be absolutely perfect for racing at Sebring late this week - much better than last year's rain-affected race. Not only will it be dry the entire event, the temperatures will be very comfortable during the day, with low humidity. It will be a little chilly overnight for those camping out, with overnight lows in the 40s.
A cold front is expected to bring a good chance of showers to Sebring on Tuesday as teams start to load into the track. The front will be long gone by Wednesday, and a large high pressure system will be building southward into Florida. With it will come a cool and dry air mass, with temperatures about 10 degrees below normal for mid-March. It will be a little breezy as the high builds across the Southeast and low pressure moves away across the Atlantic.
Temperatures will gradually moderate through the weekend, with mid 70s for highs on Friday and near 80 on Saturday, which is the normal high for Sebring in mid-March. Winds will be getting lighter too as the high pressure center moves into Florida.
