So far, the weather looks great for the race weekend. High pressure will be moving across southeast Australia Friday and Saturday, which should provide dry conditions and plenty of sunshine each day. Sunday is a little bit more uncertain, as the high pressure ridge begins to weaken a little. As you can see, I have a 10% chance of rain mentioned on Sunday. I still think that it will most likely be dry at the track, but I can't entirely rule out some isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. I'll keep an eye on this possibility over the next few days, and update as needed. For the benefit of our English and Australian friends, I've included temperatures in degrees Celsius.
If you're in the Midwest or Northeast this week and buried under snow, stay warm with thoughts of awesome GT race cars whizzing around the beautiful Mount Panorama Circuit under sunny skies and high temperatures in the 70s and 80s.
