After our week off, we are heading to the challenging Baku City Circuit. We are expecting a weekend with beautiful weather for both the race teams and spectators. A tightened pressure gradient over the Caspian Sea will likely cause the area to be quite gusty which will really test the preparations of these cars. On a track that demands both finesse and power throughout different parts of the track, a high wind gust might not be a team's best friend. This will be the hottest race since week 1, temperature wise, which will help the drivers find grip around the track quite easily.
We have seen what mild temps can do to a car's grip, so seeing a forecast of higher temps and sunny skies is a nice change of pace for these teams. The main concern for teams will be battling the moderate northerly winds that could cause drag on the straightaways, or lack of downforce on the corners. These are things teams take into consideration all the time though, so I am expecting yet another action-packed race! A metric graphic is displayed below...
