By: Harris Cooley Pretty typical weather is in store for the Brazilian GP as a large High pressure systems sits off the east coast bringing southeasterly winds to the region. This will also bring moist air to the area bringing about chances for afternoon pop-up storms through the weekend. These storms would be quick, though any kind of precipitation brings obstacles for racing. Gusty winds in the afternoon are also likely which adds another element to strategize around. Impacts have low odds but should be monitored through the weekend. A metric graphic is pasted below...
By Doug Schneider Beautiful weather is expected for the Mexico Grand Prix weekend. A large area of high pressure will be stationary over the Gulf of Mexico the entire event, maintaining dry conditions and pleasant temperatures.
By: Harris Cooley A mostly clear weekend will be in store for the US Grand Prix in Austin, TX. A cold front passed on Wednesday bring High pressure over the area and mild temps. Gusty winds will be expected for Friday afternoon especially with the flat topography around the track. Moisture rolling in off the Gulf of Mexico will bring cloud coverage for Saturday extending into race day Sunday. Wind speeds calm down by race day with warn temps in the afternoon. This should make for some more beautiful sunset laps this weekend. Metric graphic pasted below...
By: Harris Cooley Some muggy weather is expected this weekend as southerly winds bring moisture to to the area. Lower pressure moves in by Saturday increasing rain chances in the morning but mostly clearing out by the afternoon. Wind speeds will be calm and temps a bit warm. Sunday has a chance for showers during the day as well that could linger into the evening hours. The main threat this weekend is rain as temps should remain consistent and cloud coverage should reduce track temps. See metric graphic pasted below...
By: Harris Cooley Mostly clear weather will be in store for this weekend at the Azerbaijan GP. A Low pressure system in the Southern part of the Caspian Sea will keep some moisture in the area through the weekend. Winds coming off the coast will be sustained and moderate in the afternoons with cloud coverage building as the days progress as well. Winds shift a bit more northerly as the Low moves out of the area, though will be bringing increased cloud coverage and possible rain chances that afternoon. Radar surveillance could play a big role this weekend. See metric graphic below...
By: Harris Cooley Pretty consistent weather is in store for the Italian GP at Monza as High pressure lays over the area. Sunny skies and warm temps will keep track temps with low wind speeds throughout the weekend as well. There is a slight chance for rain on Sunday but this would occur later in the evening if so. Drivers will have mostly favorable conditions for competitive racing so this should be an exciting one. Metric graphic pasted below...
By: Harris Cooley Friday begins with a relatively deep westerly Low pressure system moving through the region bringing high winds and scattered rain. Another round of showers is expected to pass Saturday afternoon into the evening with gusty winds as well. High pressure moves in to the area by Sunday presenting a mostly clear race day with mild temperatures.
Friday and Saturday will likely be tough days on the track navigating through the intermittent rain and gusty winds. This could leave Sunday's winning strategy up to overall familiarity of the track rather than the ability to collect comparable track data in practice sessions and qualifying. A metric graphic is posted below... By: Harris Cooley Cloudy and rainy weather will be moving through the region Friday and Saturday as Low pressure lays over the site. Westerly winds will bring moisture in off the coast and keep cloud coverage in the forecast all weekend. This moisture and cloud coverage will cause grip issues in a couple ways as the track will surely be wet as the rain moves through, but cloud coverage will also cause track temps to be low as well. High pressure rolls in by Sunday clearing most of the rain chances out and giving teams' a bit less of a headache. Spa shall not disappoint as usual. See the metric graphic pasted below...
