Friday and Saturday will be clear and mostly calm with the only threat to teams being high track temps. Sunday presents a bit more of a challenge as a band of scattered light rain is forecasted to be moving through the region. Chances are low as of now for any major impacts to the track or that the precipitation materializes at all, though it is worth mentioning after the major impacts of the rain to last week's race. I will keep a close eye on these rain chances and any impacts to the race. For now, we can expect clouds to set in that afternoon with a small possibility of short-lived rain. By: Harris Cooley We travel to Shanghai for the second race of this 2025 F1 season and find some mostly pleasant weather while out there. A deep Low pressure system Northeast of the site toward Japan will induce a High pressure system that will be sitting just east of Shanghai over the East China Sea. This will keep a steady westerly flow over the region through the weekend with pockets of gusty winds in the afternoon.

A large high pressure ridge over the west coast will provide sunny skies and warm temperatures for the INDYCAR weekend at the Thermal Club. Temperatures will be rising each day as the ridge shifts a little farther east, reaching into the upper 80s by race day. Winds will be light each day, and generally coming from the north. By: Harris Cooley We are back with another season of Formula One! We start right off with some volatile weather in Melbourne as the afternoons will be gusty for Friday and Saturday. A Low pressure system will be passing through the region Sunday bringing a line of scattered storms that afternoon. Wind gusts reach up to 35 mph paired with a rainy afternoon giving teams a tough task right off the bat.
Practice sessions will be mostly clear and clean for Friday and Saturday outside of high track temps. Sunday will give teams a good taste of how sound their strategies are as there will be a couple different elements to balance. The new faces on the grid will be tested early this season! The weather looks great for this year's edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring, with abundant sunshine, dry conditions, and warm temperatures. A large high pressure system off the east coast of Florida will dominate the weather pattern through the end of the week, producing a southerly flow that will warm temperatures well into the 80s, and around 90 by Saturday. You couldn't ask for better weather than what you'll get this weekend in St. Petersburg. Mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures can be expected throughout the INDYCAR season opener weekend. High pressure will be located over the northern Gulf Coast region, providing a dry northerly flow across Florida. A weak disturbance could bring a little more cloud cover on Friday and Saturday, but this won't impact anything at the track. By Doug Schneider
The weather continues to look great for this year's edition of the Bathurst 12 Hour. Not much change was made to the initial forecast from Monday. High pressure will shift from the southern coast of Australia to the southeast coast. A few isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out this afternoon, but the chance of any storms affecting Mount Panorama are low (20%). As the high builds over the area through the weekend, dry conditions will continue with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures, and low humidity. A reminder for those in the United States, the race starts at 1:45 PM EST. Click on forecast graphics to enlarge. By Doug Schneider
Being located in the United States, and the northern hemisphere, forecasting for Australia is always a fun challenge for me. The weather patterns in the southern hemisphere are essentially reversed from the northern hemisphere, so low pressure circulations are clockwise, and high pressure circulations are counter-clockwise. This is due to what is called the Coriolis Force. It takes me a little time to adjust when I look at weather maps. The weather for this year's Bathurst 12 Hour looks very nice. Leading up to the event, there will be showers and thunderstorms in the area Tuesday through Thursday, but this will likely clear out by the time the on-track activity begins on Friday. The general weather pattern will feature a high pressure ridge off the southern coast of Australia on Friday, centered over the Great Australian Bight. This will produce an easterly flow across New South Wales, from the ocean toward the Blue Mountains. With some moisture coming off the ocean, there may be some scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon on Friday. Most of this should remain near the Blue Mountains, but it could spread farther west into the Bathurst area. I think the chance of a storm at the circuit remains low, just 20%. Through the weekend, the ridge will shift eastward, building over New South Wales, and shifting the moisture from the ocean farther north. This will lower the chance of showers further, and give mostly sunny skies with warmer temperatures Saturday and Sunday. It should be great weather to get out and enjoy the race at an amazing circuit. For those in the United States, Bathurst is 16 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, so the race will begin at 1:45 PM EST. Click on forecast images to enlarge. By Doug Schneider
The weather continues to look great for the Rolex 24 this weekend. The first two day at the Speedway have been wet and windy, but conditions will be better for the rest of the event as high pressure builds over the area. Dry conditions are forecast each day, with breezy conditions on Friday. Winds will be lighter on Saturday and Sunday. Nighttime temperatures will be cold, but there will be plenty of sunshine during the day, with highs warming into the 60s for the race. Saturday evening's sunset time is 5:56 PM, and the sunrise Sunday morning is at 7:15 AM. |
