A stronger cold front will be approaching the area from the northwest on Sunday. The timing of showers and thunderstorms is coming into better focus today, and it looks like the majority of the activity will come in the evening after the race events are over. I'm keeping a low chance of showers and storms in the forecast just in case the timing changes and the storms arrive earlier, but right now, the chances of a dry race look good. Some strong storms may be possible Sunday night as the cold front moves through.
By Doug Schneider A weak cold front is expected to move through Minnesota on Friday, but it isn't expected to have much impact. There is a slight chance of light showers with the front, but I don't expect that this will cause any problems for Trans Am practice that day. Saturday will be a very nice day, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s.
