A strong cold front moved through northern Florida yesterday, so as teams arrive and unload today at Daytona, it will be partly cloudy, cold, and windy. Scattered showers will be around the area through the day. If there is a shower at the track, it will be light and short-lived. High temperatures will only be in the mid 50s, with north winds 15 to 25 mph.
Rain showers are expected to remain offshore on Friday and Saturday. It will be quite breezy on Saturday as a another strong high pressure system moves across the southeastern states. As winds shift to the east Saturday night and Sunday, showers will move inland, and more warm and moist air will move in as well. This will allow temperatures to rise into the 70s on Sunday, but it will also keep plenty of clouds overhead. Any showers that may occur on Sunday will be light and short-lived.
Our live radar feed will be down for a few hours today.
