Raceweek is here for the Pirelli World Challenge series. After a long off-season, the racing action starts back at Circuit of the Americas for the opening rounds to the 2016 season. I'll have to say that conditions will be way better than in 2015. With that said, lets get to the forecast.

THURSDAY
Sunny skies and warm temperatures should greet you at the track for the first day of activities. At daybreak, temperatures are expected to be cool and in the lower 50s, but will warm into the upper 70s to near 80 by the time the mid-afternoon arrives. Clouds should stay away, and there will be no chance of rain. Winds will start off out of the south-southwest but will shift out of the north-northeast at 10-15 MPH by the afternoon, as s surface low will be centered around the Arklatex region and moving away.

FRIDAY
Once again, another amazing day will be in store for you. Daybreak temperatures will be cooler than Thursday, starting off in the middle 40s, but will recover nicely into the lower to middle 70s by mid-afternoon. Sunny skies are expected, with no chance of rain. Winds will start off from the north but will shift out of the southeast at 5-10 MPH by the afternoon.

SATURDAY
Another great day at COTA, as the skies are expected to be partly cloudy with slightly warmer temperatures than Friday. The morning low will be near 50 at daybreak, and the daytime high is expected to reach the middle 50s. Chance of rain is still zero. Winds will be out of the south-southeast at 5-10 MPH.

SUNDAY
Mostly cloudy skies will greet you at COTA for the final day of racing action for the weekend, but no rain is expected. With the added clouds, the morning low temperature will be warmer than previous days, as it will be in the middle 50s. The daytime high will reach the middle 70s once again. Winds will be out of the south-southeast at 5-10 MPH. As of right now, the models are showing a dry solution for the day, but I may have to add a slight chance for a shower later this week as a surface low will be approaching the area to the northwest. Humidity levels are higher than in previous days, and so are the precipitable water values (up to 1 inch). As of now, Let's cross our fingers that I don't have to do that.

I'll have updates on our website throughout the week and on our social media feeds (links located on the right of this page). I'll have radar up and running as well (if needed). Raceweek is here and I'm excited. Have a great day and let's get racing!
