Friday will start with a high pressure ridge over the area that will provide mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures in the lower 90s. Clouds will start to increase Friday night as that ridge moves toward the east and a trough approaches from the west. Winds will pick up on Saturday ahead of this approaching system, so it will be breezy at times, mainly in the afternoon. Gusts up to 25 mph will be possible.
For the race on Saturday evening, it will be mostly cloudy with temperatures falling through the 80s, and into the upper 70s by the end of the race. It will remain a little breezy through the race, but a little less so than Saturday afternoon. I can't rule out the possibility of a sprinkle Saturday night, but at this time it appears more likely to occur after the end of the race. I'm not too concerned about it causing any problems right now, but we'll see if the timing changes at all as we get closer to the weekend.
