The weather at the Grand Prix of Long Beach will be tied to the direction of the winds through the weekend. At the start of activities on Friday, winds will be coming from the north, and this offshore direction will result in hot temperatures, with highs around 90 degrees. The pattern shifts on Friday night, as winds will turn to a southerly onshore direction. This will bring low level moisture to the area, and result in morning fog development. It will mean cooler temperatures on Saturday, with highs in the mid 70s. This onshore flow continues into Sunday, producing another day of morning fog and cooler temperatures around 70 in the afternoon.
