SATURDAY
There will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day at the track with temperatures starting off around 73 degrees for the start of the first practice session of the day. The temperature will quickly warm into the 80s by noon and will top out around 85 degrees for the daytime high. Qualifying is scheduled to take place from 12:00 pm to 5:50 pm, and temperatures will go from around 80 degrees at the start to around 85 degrees at 4:00 pm, then only drop a degree by the end of the session. Winds will be out of the south-southwest to start the on-track activity at 5-10 MPH, but will shift to out of the west-southwest by the start of qualifying. Rain is not expected at this point, and dewpoints will be right around 60 degrees.
SUNDAY
There will be more sunshine on Sunday as skies are expected to be mostly sunny. Temperatures will start off around 79 degrees for the start of the first practice session at 11:00 am and eventually make it up to around 85 degrees for the daytime high. Bump Day qualifying is expected to go from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm and temperatures will be in the 83-84 degree range. Fast Nine qualifying will start at 3:00 pm with the temperature sitting right at 85 degrees and should stay there until the last qualifying attempt has completed. Winds will be out of the west-southwest at 5-15 MPH and dewpoints will be right around 61 degrees throughout the day. There is a very small chance of an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm with odds only at 25% at this point.
As for the practice sessions leading up to the weekend, showers and thunderstorms will be likely during the mid to late afternoon hours on Tuesday. The high will be around 70 degrees with rain chances maxing out at 60%.
It will be warmer on Wednesday with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Winds may be gusty at times out of the south reaching as high as 20-25 MPH. The daytime high will top out around 80 degrees.
Thursday and Friday look to feature a good bit of sunshine and only a few clouds. We look to stay dry but temperatures will be maxing out around 85 on both days.
