No rain is expected at Texas Motor Speedway Friday or Saturday, and temperatures during the race Saturday evening will be in the 80s.
For Trans Am Weekend of Thunder at NJMP, the weather looks good for most of the event, but there is still a small chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Some of the storms could produce some gusty winds, along with lightning. But I still expect that most of this activity will come in the evening, and not affect the action on the track. A cold front will move through on Sunday, but it will be late enough in the day that temperatures will still warm into the 80s. It will be breezy with the front moving through, with winds shifting to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.
