On Friday for practice and qualifying, skies will be generally clear and temperature will be warm. Expected high will be in the upper 80s to near 90. Heat indices will reach the 90-95º range, so please stay hydrated and in the shade if you can find some. Temperatures will gradually fall to the middle 80s for the end of the activities around 8:30PM. Good news, chance of rain is 0% (as of now).
Saturday looks pretty much the same, but warmer. Skies will be mostly clear and highs are expected to reach the lower 90s. Heat indices will reach the 95-100º range, so once again stay hydrated and find ways to stay cool. For the race at 7:45PM, temperatures should have fallen to the upper 80s, and will continue to fall into the upper 70s by the time the checkered flag falls. Once again, chance of rain is 0% (as of now).
I'll have updates all week long on our blog (racecastwx.weebly.com), our Twitter feed (@RacecastWx), my Twitter feed (@RaceWx4You) and on our Facebook page (Facebook.com/RacecastWx). Radar is already up and running, but I do not believe we are going to need it this week.
